Rubicon cricket Ambassador Muttiah Muralitharan and British Asian Trust Ambassador Dimitri Mascarenhas delivered a £10,000 donation from Rubicon Exotic Juice Drinks to The British Asian Trust at the Finals day of the Friends Life t20.
As part of the Rubicon Love Cricket campaign, Rubicon pledged to donate £250 for every wicket taken by two of the top bowling stars in this years’ Friends Life t20. Muralitharan and Mascarenhas duly obliged with a series of top class performances during 2011.
The finale of the season provided a fitting setting for the donation presentation. Hampshires’ Mascarenhas took time out from competing in the Finals Day to accept the cheque on behalf of The British Asian Trust from Jonathan Kemp, Commercial Director for Rubicon.
Dimitri Mascarenhas said, “On behalf of The British Asian Trust I’d like to thank Rubicon for its generous donation, which will go to help support charities within the areas of education, enterprise and health in South Asia.”
