Trust is Charity of Choice for National Restaurant Awards 2011

The British Asian Trust is the charity of choice for the Spice Times National Restaurant Awards on 30 October where the Best Restaurants in the UK will be selected by the public.

Spice Times AwardsThe aim of the awards is to encourage industry growth and give the world a look inside the catering industry.

“We are pleased to be participating in the Spice Times National Restaurant Awards this year,” said Hitan Mehta, Executive Director of The British Asian Trust. “Proceeds will benefit our critical work in the areas of livelihoods, education and health in the poorest communities across South Asia.”

The 2011 award categories are: Best Local Restaurant, Best Restaurant in the County, Best in the Region and Best Restaurant in the UK.

The Spice Times Awards are known for their robust public voting process, with over half a million public votes last year. This year a live voting process is to be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane, along with the Gala Dinner and Champagne reception. Finalists and winners will be honoured at the Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony.
