The high-impact work of The British Asian Trust is featured in the lastest edition of HRH The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s Annual Review 2011.
The review showcases the work of Trust charity partner Mann Deshi School, India’s first and only business school for illiterate women.
Along with tens of thousands of other disadvantaged women, Mann Deshi has transformed the life of Bainabai Sagar who is showcased in The Prince of Wales Annual Review 2011. A former field labourer, Bainabai now runs a highly successful tea stall. She has become a role model for other women in her community who are inspired to follow in her footsteps and become entrepreneurs.
The photo and case study by Fatima Njam were provided by Trust partner Creatives Against Poverty.
