HRH The Prince of Wales invited an exclusive group of Indian business, arts and civil society leaders to a 3 day visit to London to discuss the future work of The Prince’s Charities and The British Asian Trust in India. The delegation included Shabana Azmi, Sangeeta Jindal, Naina Lal Kidwai, SK Mishra, Rajendra Pachauri, Bunker Roy and KP Singh.
The delegation explored ways in which more could be done to charitable links between Britain and India and expand the work of The British Asian Trust. A visit to a number of The Prince’s Charities in the UK including The Prince’s Trust and The Prince’s School for Traditional Arts was also on the agenda as was a dinner hosted by The Prince of Wales at Clarence House.
The delegation was very impressed by the breadth of activities of The Prince’s Charities and were also guests at a dinner by the chairman of The British Asian Trust, Manoj Badale and Kurt Hoffman, Director, Shell Foundation at Kensington Palace to highlight the work of both the Trust and the Foundation in India.
