Katha’s response

Katha works in the Delhi slums to ensure that children receive a high quality education to overcome poverty for themselves, their families and their communities. Using the power of reading to combat social injustice and disadvantage, Katha reaches out to over 180,000 children and 90,000 women in 72 slums and communities. Katha launched the Phoolwadi Centre in 1990 to provide learning for children with special needs including visual, oral and mental disabilities.

Our Support

The Trust is supporting Katha’s Phoolwadi Centre helping slum children with special needs to achieve their full potential through creative activities and individual support from specially-trained teachers.
