LRBT’s Response

For the past 24 years, the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust has been providing free, comprehensive eye-care at its 16 hospitals and 39 primary eye care centres. It is the largest provider of eye care in the country, providing high-quality free services to the poor. Although cataract continues to be the main focus of these facilities, glaucoma-screening and diabetic retinopathy have been added as they are becoming a growing problem in the country.

Our Support

  • The British Asian Trust’s funds will help LRBT to introduce screening facilities in six hospitals, which serve more than 300,000 patients from rural areas annually.
