The role

The British Asian Trust is looking for a Supporter Engagement Executive to play an important role in driving the growth of this fast-moving and expanding organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong entrepreneurial and commercial skills who can help the organisation build opportunities and engagement with the Pakistani diaspora and maximise the tremendous opportunities that exist.

This is a pivotal time to be joining the British Asian Trust. Our turnover has increased from £1.8m to £6.8m in 18 months and as a Supporter Engagement Executive, you will take responsibility for maintaining this momentum with the Pakistani diaspora. 2018 is a particularly exciting year to be part of the organisation, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary. We are planning a number of ambitious events that we need you to help us deliver on, including our flagship event at the Royal Albert Hall.

As part of a close-knit team based in London, life will be varied and busy. In leading our fundraising from the Pakistani diaspora, you’ll be responsible for developing new income streams, building new strategic relationships and developing new contacts with corporate partners, major donors, philanthropic supporters and the wider community of supporters. You will also be responsible for reviewing our current income streams in this area and developing new initiatives to capitalise on them.

You’ll have the freedom to put your knowledge, contacts, creativity and expertise to good use and will be fully supported by the team, led by your experience and the hard work we know is necessary to sustain growth and impact.

This is a very engaging role, but we are looking for an executive who can also take a very hands-on approach to delivering projects. Within this dynamic and fast-changing environment, you must be capable of both developing strategies and implementing those activities at ground level. To succeed, you’ll also need to be tremendously ambitious for yourself and for the organisation.

Director of Fundraising

You will report to the Director of Fundraising and be a member of the Supporter Engagement Team. You will be based in our office in Central London.
