Philanthropy Manager

About the British Asian Trust

The British Asian Trust is a unique organisation. Driven by the South Asian diaspora, we operate on the cusp between philanthropy and impact investment, implementing programmes that are bold and ambitious in their vision for social change. We believe that doing good and doing well are not mutually exclusive.

We are at the cutting edge of using impact linked financial tools in international development work.

This is an incredibly exciting time for the organisation as we seek to maximise the opportunity of recent growth and successes. Our annual turnover has increased from £1m in 2016 to almost £22m last year. In addition to that we have launched a $50m Child Opportunity Fund and a £17m Impact Bond.

We expect this growth trajectory to continue. This will be achieved by growing and diversifying our income streams and maximising the opportunity of being supported by some of the most successful South Asian business leaders and entrepreneurs in the world.

Following our recent merger with Elephant Family, a Royal conservation charity, we are now in the process of developing an exciting and ambitious conservation strategy.
