Leah Chowdhry to swim the English Channel

Leah Chowdhry To Swim The English Channel

Next month, our supporter Leah Chowdhry will be taking on the swim of a lifetime in aid of the British Asian Trust! Leah will swim a gruelling 22 miles across the English Channel in cold water of approximately 13-degrees centigrade, to raise money for our work in South Asia.

Over the last six months, Leah has been training tremendously hard and will soon become one of the first ever British Asian women to take on this challenge. Funds raised from the swim will support our child welfare work in India, to protect children vulnerable to trafficking.

Back in February, Leah visited our partners Prerana and The Education Alliance (TEA) in India, to learn more about our impact on the ground. There is still time to support Leah’s effort – please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/leah-chowdhry.

We wish Leah all the very best in the final days before her swim!
