Sambhu joined the British Asian Trust in June 2023. Sambhu oversees all the consortium activities to promote safe migration and prevent child trafficking in the tea garden areas of West Bengal. He manages the program by facilitating capacity building, information exchange, conflict resolution, and team building among the consortium partners.

He brings over 14 years of experience in child rights and safeguarding. Sambhu has previously worked at the Indian Institute of Rural Development, PRAYAS, Panchayat and Social Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, CRY-Child Rights and You and SAHAY-Children International. 
 
Sambhu has a wide experience in managing strategic partnerships, leading assessment of development programs, financial viability and resource capacities, evolving & conducting programs for building competencies of target audiences , building relationship with clients and partners and liaising with other NGOs, consultants and local communities.

Sambhu received the Value in Action Global Award in 2021 from Children International and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi.
