Ellie Johnston

Eleanor (Ellie) Johnston leads the Programme Fundraising team at the British Asian Trust and is responsible for developing and implementing the Trust's programme fundraising strategy aligned with the British Asian Trust's priority thematic areas and ambitions in education, livelihoods, mental health, conservation and social finance.

Ellie and the Programme Fundraising team oversee the British Asian Trust's strategic partnerships with key institutional, trusts, foundations and corporate partners in the UK and globally and are responsible for working across the Trust to develop, secure and steward partner investments in our innovative and high impact programmes in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Prior to joining BAT, Ellie has led business development, strategic partnerships and fundraising teams in the UK and across sub-Saharan Africa for Save the Children, mothers2mothers, IRC and the Fairtrade Foundation. She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
