Mohammed Azam

Mohammed Azam joined BAT as MEL Officer in India majorly responsible for two states Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to support Child Opportunity Fund programme.

He has a postgraduate in Development Extension from Jamia Millia Islamia and a Honours in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University. 

Azam brings over 15 years of experience in development sectors particularly in children issues such child rights- child education, health and nutrition, and protection.

He has previously worked with Save the Children India for over 11 years on various roles, particularly on child protection, and multi-sectoral programmes  across India both development grants and humanitarian. He has also worked at UNICEF Bihar as a Sub Regional Coordinator on Polio Eradication programme in Bihar and Asian Centre for Organization Research and Development (ACORD) on Yamuna Action Plan-II, Bhagidari Project (Citizen-Government Partnership) in Delhi.
