Bestway Foundation donates £250,000 to support the British Asian Trust’s vital work in South Asia
The British Asian Trust has received a generous £250,000 donation from the Bestway Foundation to help support its work tackling inequality and disadvantage across South Asia. The funding will enable the Trust to reach more vulnerable communities with vital support in areas of livelihoods, education, mental health, child protection, education and conservation.
Asif Rangoonwala CBE, Vice Chairman of the British Asian Trust, welcomed the donation:
“We are deeply grateful to Sir Anwar Pervez, OBE H Pk, The Lord Choudrey CBE SI Pk and the Trustees of the Bestway Foundation for their generous donation. Their continued commitment to supporting communities across South Asia will enable us to expand our work and transform even more lives”.
The donation was raised at Bestway’s annual Ascot Charity Race Day, one of the UK’s most successful corporate fundraising events.
