Kamal Pankhania appointed as UK Advisory Council Member
The British Asian Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Kamal Pankhania as the latest member of their Advisory Council in the UK. He joins a distinguished group of advisors including Lord Zameer Choudrey CBE SI Pk, Maggie Draycott, Dr Nik Kotecha OBE, Dr Shikha Pitalia and Tom Singh OBE.
Kamal Pankhania is the Chief Executive of the Westcombe Group which has grown into a top 25 UK property development company under his direction. The Group is renowned for transforming historic Grade I and Grade II listed buildings into vibrant hotels, commercial spaces, and residences, preserving Britain’s architectural heritage while fostering the hospitality sector and creating exceptional homes. Kamal’s strategic vision has also propelled the growth of the Acre Hotels Collection, Westcombe’s hotel development arm, establishing partnerships with global brands such as Hilton, Accor, and IHG.
Kamal’s philanthropic work is equally impactful. Through the Westcombe Foundation, he has dedicated decades to funding disaster relief efforts and essential infrastructure projects, including schools and hospitals in countries like Kenya, India, and Nepal. In the UK, the Foundation partners with prominent charities such as Crisis and the Trussell Trust, as well as environmental initiatives like The Queen’s Green Canopy.
