Milkar Report 2025: National Mental Health Baseline Survey and Insights from Pakistan

Through mass media, community engagement, and data-driven storytelling, the Milkar campaign is changing how Pakistan talks about mental health.

The Milkar, Aao Baat Karein Campaign for Mental Health Led by the British Asian Trust in collaboration with the Mir Khalil Ur Rehman Foundation (MKRF) and supported by the Pakistan Mental Health Coalition (PMHC) is Pakistan’s first and largest national level multimedia initiative focused on raising mental health awareness and reducing stigma.

The Milkar 2025 Report

The Milkar Report 2025 presents critical insights into the state of mental health in Pakistan in 2025, based on a nationally representative sample.

A recent nationally representative survey by Gallup Pakistan, set the baseline for the campaign and the report and reveals the mental health crisis we can no longer ignore.

  • 92% agree we need more tolerance and awareness
  • Only 3% sought professional help in the last 6 months
