Belinda Stewart-Cox

Belinda is the former Trustee and Acting Head of Conservation at Elephant Family as well as the Founder and former Executive-Director of the Elephant Conservation Network in Thailand. She is currently the Conservation Advisor at the British Asian Trust.

Ms Stewart-Cox has a BA in Human Sciences (Zoology & Anthropology) from Oxford University and an MSc in Conservation Biology and Ecotourism from the Durrell Institute of Conservation & Ecology, Kent University. She has worked in wildlife conservation in Thailand for almost 30 years. She has been a member of the IUCN/SSC Asian Elephant Specialist Group since the late 1980s. In 2011, she was awarded an OBE for ‘25-years of service to nature conservation in Thailand’.
